Master peer review with the Publons Academy

The Publons Academy is a free, online peer review training course designed for Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students and early career researchers in collaboration with world-renowned researchers, peer-reviewers, journal editors and Nobel Laureates.

How will it help me?

The course will give you a full understanding of the peer review process, which ensures the quality and integrity of published research.

The ten modules of the course will teach you core competencies and skills of peer review. Under supervision, you will practice the real writing of post-publication peer reviews. Upon graduation from the Academy, you will be in the pool of volunteers for the journal editors to choose from. You will also receive a certificate when you have successfully completed the training.

When should I do the training?

Anytime! At the beginning stages of your career, there is nothing more valuable than knowing what the academic publishing process is based on. You may not be ready for peer reviewing but you will better understand peer review process and become a more confident author for your future publications. The training will take around 15 hours.
