Dan has a particular interest in higher education policy and has explored issues relating to graduate outcomes, supply and demand, and student aspirations and pathways. He completed his PhD in the sociology of education at Monash University in 2007, where he also worked as a Research Fellow in the Centre for Population and Urban Research. Shortly after completing his PhD, Dan began working at the ACER, where he works on a range of policy-based projects with a focus on higher and vocational education. Dan is a member of the ACER Board of Directors, a member of the Australian Government's Equity in Higher Education Panel, and an Honorary Senior Fellow at the Melbourne Centre for the Study of Higher Education at the University of Melbourne.
