The UQ Research Commercialisation Workshop is a two-day interactive event that will inform and guide you on the key aspects of research commercialisation - from protecting intellectual property to partnering with industry and pitching to venture capital investors.  The program will feature a range of entertaining and informative speakers, each giving a unique perspective on the journey from research to impact.  The workshop is free to UQ’s academic researchers and research higher degree students and will be held at Customs House on 8 and 9 May 2023. With the Federal Government’s current focus on the commercialisation of university research and the importance of industry/university collaborations, this Workshop will provide you with valuable insights on this topical discussion and a clearer view of the commercial potential of your research.

If you would like to know more, visit the UniQuest website and register your interest before 1 May 2023. Places are limited.

About Entrepreneurship

We are now entering a new era where there is demand for commercial returns of publicly funded research: research that is transformational, innovative and solution-focused. It is important for any researcher to understand the possibilities and processes that connect research outcomes to the generation of commercial intellectual property and the varied strategies for turning this commercial IP into new products, processes and services. The Graduate School works actively in the entrepreneurship space with UQ Ventures and UQ's commercialisation arm, Uniquest
