Maximising Research Impact: Strategies to strengthen your track record during your PhD [St Lucia]
Your research impact is more than just publications—it is about shaping a meaningful narrative that reflects your work’s significance in academia and beyond. This interactive workshop will guide participants in understanding and articulating their research impact, drawing from real-world examples and reflective exercises. The session will begin with the facilitator sharing insights from her own PhD journey, followed by a discussion on personal academic journeys, encouraging participants to consider where they are now, where they want to go, and how they can shape their impact story. Through group discussions and hands-on exercises, participants will learn practical strategies for building their track record. By the end of the workshop, they will have a clearer roadmap for defining, evaluating, and showcasing their research impact.
Presented by Dr Carmen Lim, NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow, Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences
