This is an introductory workshop which covers the basics of research impact. It is designed for those new to the concept of research impact, and those who may be looking to better link research activities with impact and clarify common misconceptions.

Course Objectives

The workshop aims to equip participants with:

  • Improved research impact literacy, including related terminologies
  • An appreciation for disciplinary diversity through different examples of impact
  • User-friendly and adaptable strategies for research impact planning and monitoring
  • A basic understanding of how to collect and responsibly demonstrate evidence of impact
  • Knowledge of which UQ systems and organisational units can support research impact

Your research may have the potential to impact both policy and practice and influence the broader community in a number of ways. Knowing how and where to communicate your research, and understanding how to do so ethically and responsibly, will ensure your research makes an impact.
