This workshop provides practical awareness on how to promote research at each stage of the research cycle, using various avenues. In part two of our “Publishing your Research” series, you will learn how to:

  • make yourself “visible” as a researcher
  • build your profile and networks for potential future collaborations
  • communicate your research before and after publication to create impact.

This workshop will address the three stages during the publishing process for increasing your visibility, including tools such as pre-print servers, conferences, the UQ repository eSpace, your online researcher identity, social media accounts, and news such as the Conversation.

It is highly recommended to attend “Publishing your research, part 1: Writing and submitting”.

Feedback from participants include:

“The session was able to clearly deliver the knowledge on how to maximise the visibility of our work to the world. Everything was easy to understand”

“It was interesting to learn about other avenues of promoting my research other than publishing papers and attending conferences - e.g., writing for The Conversation, social media etc.”

“Provided practical tips relating how to share research with others.”

Presented by Library. You must attend at least 75% of the session otherwise you may be marked absent.
